I think i wanna marry you..

(wheartit.com)

Its the year of my wedding!! so much to do its ridiculous! However one of the main things I'm stuck on is  pretty superficial by most peoples standards..Shoes. It has become quite clear to me over the past few months that i am not fond of traditional "wedding shoes."Someone actually suggested the white satin  lace up ankle boots to me..OMG NO! I do however quite like the idea of wearing different colour shoes ( other then white, not one blue and one green lol) particularly red, which would tie in with my pink and red colour scheme. Whilst this idea has become more popular in recent years, it is still a bit of a marmite subject..you love it or ya hate it! The first time i encountered a person who hated the idea was when I went on the hunt for my wedding dress. I chalked this up to the fact that she was an older lady (6o's ish) and figured since she suggested those hideous boots, that she was just very traditional! But since then i have posed the red shoe question to a number of my friends and they are pretty much 50/50 on the subject! This has thrown me a bit, are red shoes a bit loud, tacky, or just not traditional enough. I guess i can understand where they are coming from, as i could not imagine a wedding dress in any other colour then white. But how often do you even see the shoes! hmmm decisions decisions.. Oh and Ive also considered flat (red) shoes.. gasssssspp..perhaps this is because of my childhood obsession with the wizard of oz (particularly her shoes he he) ..or perhaps its the only practical decision given my fiance is only a few inches taller than me lol. That idea has gone down like a ton of bricks with many. Since when was it traditional to where skyscraper stilettos down the aisle! ho hum the debate goes on xoxo
